Paulo Martins has been a member of the governing bodies of ANJE since January 2017. He is an alternate secretary of the Association’s General Meeting.
After a time in Brazil, he opened his PAULO MARTINS ARQ&DESIGN studio in Portugal, working in the areas of architecture, urban planning and interior design. In 2011, at the same time as the opening of a new office in Porto, he began an internationalisation phase, developing projects for England, Angola, Equatorial Guinea and Brazil. Aveiro became home to the new studio in 2015, with new projects in several cities in the country and in external markets.
He has a bachelor’s degree in Architecture from ARCA-EUAC in Coimbra. Complementing his area with a postgraduate degree in Eco-Efficient Architecture, in 2007, Paulo Martins attended Elisava – Escola Superior de Disseny i Universitat Pompeu Fabra, in Barcelona, Spain. His name is on several national and international projects. Between 2003 and 2008, he worked as coordinating architect on the Ribas Arquitectes studio team and he was in charge of several internationally recognised projects. Laboratoris Esteve, Institut Cefer and Circuit de Montmeló are just some of the places where the architect has left his mark.
