Patrícia Patrício has been a member of the ANJE governing bodies since January 2017, when she became an alternate member of the Supervisory Board.
She is a partner and co-founder of the startup Bn’ML, where she has worked since 2012. In addition to her executive duties, she also works in R&D, consultancy and project management. Bn’ML is a company that develops pre-clinical trials for pharmaceutical companies and other R&D institutions, both nationally and internationally. This project earned her the SpinUM award in 2012, promoted by Tecminho, and the ANJE Young Entrepreneur award in 2013.
She has a bachelor’s degree in Applied Biology from Universidade do Minho with specialisation (master’s degree) in Molecular Genetics and Biomedicine from Universidade Nova de Lisboa. She has a PhD in Neuroscience from Universidade do Minho, where she studied the mechanisms of neural plasticity involved in depression and the action of different anti-depressants. So far, she has published 13 articles in international magazines with peer reviewing and has presented her work at several national and international congresses. She co-supervised several bachelor’s and master’s degree and PhD papers. And in 2014, she completed her postgraduate degree in Management at ISMAI/ANJE.
