José Pedro Freitas is president of ANJE since April 2019 and has been a vice-chairman since January 2017, having been a member of the association’s governing bodies, more precisely the Supervisory Board, during previous electoral mandates (2009-2013; 2013-2017).
He began his career at Accenture and later worked in the control and planning department at Sogrape Vinhos. More recently, between 2009 and 2011, José Pedro Freitas was also head of treasury at Ascendi. He has been the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of the Mota-Engil group since 2013.
He was born in 1978 and has a bachelor’s degree in Economics from Universidade Católica Portuguesa. He attended Euromoney Financial Training and also completed an Advanced Business Management programme at Porto Business School.
